Injury Screening

1 h

If you suspect that you have an injury, or want to prevent injury, we will do a screening evaluation to determine the nature of your injury, discuss our findings, and offer recommendations to help you accomplish your goals. Can be combined with follow-up Exercise Consultation visits (see below), may include an abbreviated video gait analysis.

Runner's/Walker's Clinic

2 h

Used to prevent injury, develop a post-injury strategy, or simply to enhance your current performance in running, hiking, walking, etc. A running/walking-specific injury screening is performed with testing of musculoskeletal structures for integrity, strength and flexibility. Your gait pattern is then video taped from several angles, with varying speeds and with variations in footwear. The recording is reviewed with you, replayed in slow motion and frame by frame to uncover the most subtle intricacies of your gait. With this information we then give recommendations to help you accomplish your goals. Advice may include stretching or strengthening exercises, technique drills, training modifications, appropriate footwear, etc.

Bike Fitting/Cyclist Positioning

Have your bike fit to you with a logical system that decreases risk for injury while improving performance. Your individual abilities, goals, equipment and musculoskeletal structure are taken into consideration as well. Fitting includes basic foot positioning, cost may increase if extensive shoe or cleat adjustments area necessary. A brief analysis of your pedaling pattern is analyzed (see below) with tips on improving your efficiency. As we make modifications to your cycling position we continue to analyze your pedaling efficiency to keep it maximized.

Cyclist's Clinic
