What's a Group Coupon?

A group coupon is a coupon that activates when a certain number of people buy it.

Why a Group Coupon?

Group coupons can attract new and multiple customers to your business. Because each group coupon is activated only when the minimum number of customers buy it, this entices each buyer to bring their family and friends to purchase your coupon in order to activate the deal. This means that you not only sell multiple coupons upfront, but also gather several new customers at once.

How many customers can I win with a group coupon?

As many as you want!

Can I control the number of customers I will be getting via the coupon?

Yes, you can set limits for the minimum and maximum number of coupon sales.

How much does it cost to issue a group coupon?

It's free. All you need to do is to go to the “Promote Business” section and issue a coupon.

How long does it take to issue a coupon?

Minutes. The page only needs a few fields filled in

How long does it take for my coupon to be live?

Is my coupon visible to the public or is it private to the need poster?

Yes. Group coupons are visible to the public so you can promote them with direct links.

Who promotes the coupon?

Everyone: MiNeeds provides a simple page where you can distribute your coupon with one click on Facebook, Twitter, via e-Mail, and more.

How many people are required to activate a coupon?

If it’s a group coupon, the minimum buyers required to activate a coupon is 2. This means that if the customer really likes your offer, he or she needs at least 1 more person to buy your coupon in order to activate it. However, you can set the minimum required buyers to 1 to issue a singular coupon (i.e. not a group coupon).

How long is the coupon promoted?

Each coupon is promoted for 72 hours. If the coupon doesn't reach the minimum sales after the promotion period, then it is not activated and no one is charged.

What if the deal is not activated?

If the minimum number of coupon sales has not been reached after the promotional period of 72 hours, no one gets charged.

How many times can I issue a coupon?

As many times as you like!

How can I track the coupon sales?

When logged onto MiNeeds, select the “Updates” tab beside your username and scroll to “My Issued Coupons”. From there you can track sales, time left on coupons, and more.

How do I get paid?

When a customer redeems your coupon, we mail you a check for its face value. For example, if you issue a coupon with a face value of $50 and a redemption value of $100, when the customer redeems the coupon, we mail you a check worth the face value, which would be $50.

How can I register a redeemed coupon?

Each coupon has a unique ID. Your customer will bring you this coupon ID via the coupon voucher. You will take this coupon ID and register it using the coupon management page, which notifies our payment processing department. Your check will be on its way within 72 hours.

How much does MiNeeds collect on coupon sales?

MiNeeds keeps 50% of the face value of the coupon sales.Absolutely. When issuing a group coupon, you will be able to set the maximum number of coupon sales. This will give you the ability to control the number of customers your business will receive.

I'm a free member, can I issue a coupon?

Yes. You will be able to issue a group coupon as well. Issuing any coupon is free.

How can I edit an already published coupon?

Once a coupon is published it cannot be edited so as to avoid changing of terms unexpectedly for the potential buyers. However, if you feel strongly about an update to your already issued coupon, please contact us at info@MiNeeds.com and we'll help you make an update.
