The Brownstone School is a preschool located on the Upper West Side of Manhattan. It was founded in 1963 and chartered by the New York State Board of Regents in 1983. Most of our families live or work on Manhattans Upper West Side. However, the school has always been strongly committed to welcoming children from a variety of cultural, ethnic and economic backgrounds that reflect our diverse society, so families from all over the city have always been a part of The Brownstone. The school is located in its own landmark Brownstone on West 80th Street, half a block from the Museum of Natural History.
