Founded as the Plumbing and Heating Industry of Detroit (PHI) Trust Fund in 1956,
representing the Metropolitan Detroit Plumbing and Mechanical Contractors Association
(Detroit MCA) and the Plumbing-Heating-Cooling Contractors of Southeastern Michigan
(Detroit PHCC), we’ve been around for 50 years. In January of 2001, we changed our
association name to Plumbing and Mechanical Contractors of Detroit (PMC Detroit) to better
reflect our contractor membership and the scope of work they do.
