Somerset Recreation Club, Swimming (Bellevue, WA)

4445 Somerset Blvd. S.E. Bellevue, WA

The Somerset Recreation Club is a family-oriented community club with swimming pool, water slide and tennis court facilities. We offer season memberships (May - September), swim team & lessons and tennis team & lessons. Our facility is located in Bellevue, Washington (Somerset Community Association) and we have some of the most spectacular views of Lake Washington and Seattle. The Somerset Swim Team program works to provide a positive learning and growing atmosphere for all team members. The coaches constantly work to help swimmers enhance all four competitive strokes, improve racing techniques, build self confidence, become good team members, and learn that winning and succeeding are not always the same thing.

Description

Pool

Pool - A four-lane, 25-yard pool and a separate wading pool and a curved slide offers space needed for a variety of activities for all ages. All Somerset Recreation staff members are Red Cross certified. The pool is open for swimming every day and evening of the week form early May through Labor Day.

Swimming Lessons

Swimming Lessons are offered from June 25 – August 3. Swim Team members begin practice in mid-May in the evening and then in the morning after school ends. Swim Meets are on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from mid-June to the end of July. Water Polo is gaining popularity and is offered at SRC. Work outs begin in mid-July, with matches in August.

Water Polo

Come and learn the fastest growing sport on the West coast… There will be many opportunities to play this season. It all starts on Monday, July 23 and will culminate with the championship tournament at the end of August. If you have friends who might be interested, bring them along! The only stipulation is that they cannot belong to another Midlakes pool that has a water polo team. Again (as usual) we don't have a fee for water polo set until we see how many kids we have (the more kids the cheaper it'll be) but it'll probably run between $60-75.
