| Description | A primary goal of mine is to cultivate enthusiasm for reading. This can be done through goal setting, engaging reading material, a positive attitude, and by making the experience fun. Another goal is learning the children. It is important to keep in mind that we all learn differently. I prefer to use the phonics method; however, on-site reading, and some other methods work better for some children and situations. It is very important to get to know the child and their abilities and preferences in order to successfully help them. Reading can be more than a hobby; it can open many doors and opportunities for that child. I want to share my passion for reading and the joy I receive from it with the children of this community. |
