Weeds have grown in dirt but I had them sprayed with a weed killer a week ago, and now they are dead and will have to be removed. The soil area needing grass is about 90' by 40' feet. I have a sprinkler system already installed below the top soil around the perimeter of the yard, which is out of the way. The soil is mostly level with a slight slope or grade already but it needs to be perfected by some body who knows what they are doing, has tractor experience and knows the proper attachments or machine and yard tools to use. There are some small rocks buried or mixed with the old top soil that will have to be raked out or removed before the grass seed is planted. Last year I brought in about 60 yards of top soil and had it spread out with a bobcat since then weeds have grown up over it. I do not want to bring in anymore top soil. We need to use what I have brought in already and make that work. Who ever does this job, the price must be affordable and be willing to save us money. Not interested in expensive high priced landscapers. We will be fair but the final cost must be affordable. I had hired a part time landscaper to do the job whom I had met in person. He had agreed to do the job for me and I paid him to kill the weeds before he would come back to do the work. I haven't heard a word from him since, so I need to find some one else it looks like to replace him. The person hired to do this job must have experience installing yards, excavating, grading dirt and making soil, yard, manicured before seed is planted. Landscape design and plant knowledge is a plus! Have knowledge of best grass seed to use, its application and/or hydro-seeding. I do not want to lay down sod unless the price for the sod and labor is very cheap. Landscaper must have references of customers with beautiful lawns that he has planted or installed that I can go see. Photographs of previous work is a plus! Landscaper must have own tools and access to the right equipment to get this job done in a timely manner and have pride in work and be honest. Must dig out a two to three foot high area of the yard for the pathway or walk way, so that this area will be at the same level the ground is around the deck. The area needed to be dug out would start from my fence when you enter the back yard and go around my deck half way and then it would stop. This area would have the retaining wall built around it using my existing blocks I already have. The length of that area would be about 25' to 35' feet long using my existing cinder blocks that I bought at "Home Depot." Please only experienced lawn experts, landscapers able to make yard beautifully landscaped with references and are very reasonable with cost or inexpensive respond. This job is simple to some one who has all there own tools and equipment or access to the right equipment. Prep soil, rake out rocks shape soil or design and have with experience with excavator and who are not greedy picture of my back yard high area talented, bright inexpensive that was growing on top of my top soil I had spread out over a year ago. We will use my cinder blocks for retaining wall and my existing top soil for new lawn. Use my existing top soil. Just had weeds sprayed and killed.
