Wedding DJ's will make or break your wedding. Going with a cheap DJ will sound like a great idea because it is the easiest way to lower your wedding cost but could prove to be the most costly at the same time. You could do away with other small things like a certain flowers, having a beauty school student do your make up, and even by just not having a limo depending on if your getting married at chuch. This article is not to promote my company but I have seen weddings and been to weddings were they went cheap and got a fly by night DJ company and nothing is worse then having nobody dancing. When selecting a company first make sure they have a website. Although that seems dumb it will show that they are atleast serious about their own business. Check for photos or references. Also if the price is too good to be true well then it is. You should be paying atleast $1000 for a DJ and more if you are asking for TV's, uplighting, and stage lighting. Just be carefull with who you pick!
