I am a property manager of 54 units in Daly City, CA, and I have come across my share of cockroaches...unfortunately, it is somewhat part of the job.
After a unit somehow out of nowhere became infected with roaches, I called the pest guy to take a look. Several hundred dollars later, I realized I could do it myself, instead of relying on some person to do it...which is where I found this website.

Not sure what type of roaches I had over here in CA, but this specific gel worked wonders...the same one the guy applied for hundreds of dollars...

The main spot for roaches is behind the refrigerator, so make sure you pull it out and remove the back cardboard (if any) and apply it liberally there. You can sort of get a feel for how bad the infection is based on the refrigerator.
Follow instructions on the box of course but mainly behind the frig, behind drawers, underneath the sink around the wall arm, around closets, door hinges, and corners where you think they may be...in extreme cases, light fixtures also.
The way the gel works is the roaches eat it, poop it out, and others eat it again, so the killing is continual. The Maxforce Magnum is more potent, whereas it kills upon touch!
The best advice I can give controlling these nuisances is to use Maxforce.
