Odors?

Odors can be hard to get rid of. They may be coming from many different places and from many sources. There may be pet odors, Odors from unclean carpets, New products, Old products, Dirty furnace filters and or ducts, Moisture odors, Stale air, As well as many more sources. Furnace filters are not only odor traps but they also put undue strain on your heating equipment which can lead to pre mature failure as well as higher operating costs. You should install a new filter every year or sooner if you have high airborne pollutants. You can install a re-usable filter, Just take it out and wash it dry it and re-install it, they cost a little more at first but make up for it in the long run. It is best to have everyone remove their shoes to enter your home, that way they do not track in the dirt and everything they step in. You should have a nice place (Shoe Tray) for them to put their shoes into inside your home, that way they will be there when they leave and there is less of a chance of something getting into them or having wet shoes when they leave. There is no substitution for cleaning the things that may smell, most of your air fresheners just cover the smells and may be more hazardous for your health than the smells you are trying to cover. Natural deodorizers are best like some potpourris. Airing your house out once a week is good just open all the windows for about 15 minutes then close it up, If you leave the windows open longer you will have to heat up your house longer to compensate for the extra heat loss.
