| Title | Vehicle Restoration - Mechanical and Cosmetic |
| Description | I have a 91 Honda Accord that has 174,000 miles on it. It is in great shape for the miles and year. I love these vehicles and am looking into restoring it to like new mechanically and cosmetically. The engine has now started to leak oil so I think a complete rebuild of the engine is due. It also vibrates often. I have replaced sensors (Junk Yard Parts) but that doesnt seem to fix it completely. New mounts I'm sure are needed too. I have had a bid for about $1500 dollars to fix the dings and small dents in the body and repaint it to a showroom finish. I am willing to help rebuild as I would like to do it as a hobby venture and see what it takes to restore a vehicle. Please let me know of any referrals you can send me to or ideas, quotes and what you can do. Thanks |

| 1 | You would be much better off to buy a 'new' used engine. Check with Foriegn Engines. They will sell you an engine for your car with around 30,000 miles. Those honda engines are not worth an actual rebuild in my personal opinion. If you are really looking more towards getting into the mechanics, you could by a 'long block' and build on that, but as far as the internals of your engine go, just get a new one. | 30.07.2008 |
