IRS Will Stop All Collections In Hardship Cases

IRS will stop all collection if you cannot support yourself.  All you need to do is call them and say the magic words "financial hardship"  They will take a financial statement over the phone to verify that you cannot pay anything to them.  Penalties and interest continue to accrue however you can continue to live your life free of those nagging letters and phone calls from the IRS.
